Pole Dance, Yoga, Tumbling, Calisthenics, and Movement
My entire life I have used movement as both a way to escape and connect. When I was little I remember I would climb, jump, and dance because it felt good. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in gymnastics, dance, and cheer from a young age.
As a teenager, I disconnected from my body and found other ways to numb. Yet, somehow, in 2009 I wandered into my first yoga class where I once again connected with my love for challenges, strength, and play.
While Yoga was fun, I started to become curious about my body’s potential. In 2012 I began training at the Detroit Flyhouse where I learned several circus arts including AcroYoga, Slik Hammocks, and Trapeze.
In 2018 I became a 200 hr registered yoga teacher and started teaching traditional yoga as well as AcroYoga. I began teaching a yoga class at Moxy Movement, which is what lead me to pole, my newest love.
I began training aerial pole dance regularly in January of 2021 and love getting stronger, feeling good about my body, and connecting to my divine feminine energy again (it had been a long time)! No other form of movement has brought me so much confidence, and I want everyone to experience that.
